tape to aux adapters have perfectly fine audio quality. My adapter just plugged into the back of the radio. No wiring was needed. I just did some wiring so it would have the stock look with a flush mount. Filthy casuals don't care about keeping the stock radio because they don't care about the design enough to not do something drastic like get a new head unit.
