There are people who live in a fucking prius. Of course you can, it's just a tradeoff of comfort and how much stuff you can keep in it. Personally I am moving into a minivan in 4 days, I think it will be big enough. No more reeeeent for meeeeee.

Not everyone. But in general vans serve 3 purposes. Hauling people. Hauling equipment you don't want to expose to the elements. And camping. Most vans fall into the first 2 categories. Van life kinda implies your into the third category or into customizing your van for Hauling people with maximum comfort. And since most of us here are too poor to afford a camper and a truck or Suva to tow it with we fantasize about camper vans.

I used to take the seats out of my mom's g.caravan and throw the whole squad in the back and treat it like a miata.
It was fucking great, it had the 3.8L so I could slam those guys against the walls real nice. Miss the thing, I wanted the motor out of it.
