It's not a racekar, it's meant to be a nimble but decently practical and comfy mountain road cruiser. Also, the exhaust resonates incredibly much with the interior. I will be applying the dampening piece by piece to see where I can get the most efficient use of it, so probably trunk, spare wheel well and center tunnel.
I don't want to remove the exhaust either, since it sounds damn sexy outside the car. Just gets my ears numb after two to three hours of driving.

Just picked up the car. Runs perfectly, is very very stable and the interiors are like new. Sadly the previous owner (girl) obviously didn't know how to park and there are paint damages all over the car. Some are fixable and some are heavy require professional work (I'm kinda mad but whatever, it was just 5k euros). Also one of the sideskirts needs to be repaired/repainted.

My Corolla is legit comfy but maybe not great on gas. 98s only come with three gears on the auto and I do mostly city driving, so...yeah
I think Toyotas are more known for ride quality and stuff like that.
Honda has the reputation of good manuals. Just be aware the last three gens of civic have a gimmicky instrument cluster, which could be a turn off - I know it is to me.

Any mk4 supra experts here? Why are s2 supras so much more expensive and sought after than an equivalent s1 supra? The difference in price between a s1 rz and a s2 rz-s is 10k and I don't get why. Aren't the only differences cosmetic?

The main differences are vvti on the s2, slightly different gear ratios in the v161, a03b diff in s2 instead of b03b, headlights, tail lights, front bumper, and sideskirts. So in my opinion, they're pretty much the same car with the s2 having cosmetic upgrades.

vvti didnt come until 97+, first s2's still had the regular gte, was still the v160 until 97 too. sideskirts are the same, only front bumper differences are the indicator / park light assmeblies. B03b is actually a better diff, 8 inch instead of a 7 inch crown wheel, but the diff options are a mystery to me. euro spec s2's had glass headlights otherwise the were the same i think. s2 tail light insides look alot better.

True, I forgot they made some s2 with the v160/non vvti. You're right about the side skirts, for some reason I was thinking the s2 got the aero ones from factory but that's wrong. s2 headlight insides are painted dark grey.

I have a 2002 Celica GT. I love it. It's not the fastest thing on the road, but it'll do 110 if it wants to. It handles like its on rails. I think they are great looking inside and out.

Only you can decide if you want to go for it.

But, if / when its time to look at another daily driver, I will certainly look at 7th gen Celica's.

Cressida got an alignment that was much needed today! Gotta love work perks like using the shop when it's 30 degrees out. Still haven't installed my s14 springs. Also need to find a set of the smaller Japanese/Australian market bumpers. But I did do the top end gaskets, water pump, belts and other fluids/filters and now she's running like a champ with no leaks!

For 2 grand, you might be better with an aw11. Where I live sw20's are more expensive.
Also, I know this is a Toyota general, but you might want to consider an 88 fiero formula v6 notchback.
88s had different suspension, the formula notchback was the lightest configuration, and the v6 was the better motor. Nobody buys fieros except old people and half of them don't make enough power to get out of their own way so insurance is cheap and they're pretty cheap as well.
