Protective coating for cars.

Everyone knows of linex or rhino liner, and doing an entire vehicle in it looks like shit 100% of the time.
Some cars it makes sense on.
The plastic body cladding on an old Outback/Impreza Sport Outback could look alright.

The only place it might make sense for a transparent coating film is the front of the car where chips occur. If you put it on the sides of the car, you won't like it after 2 years as it will get dulled from microscratches. So when you wax the car, that section will change its amount of shine real fast and look dull as the wax falls off it at a different rate from the rest of the car's clear coat.

Only practical in a few limited areas. Coating large areas is actually bad when you think of what happens in terms of one year, two years, three years, and so forth.
