Americans in general are so awful at any form of driving. Just look at American motorcyclists, a gentle curve left can wipe out all but the top 10% or so, who would be left in a ditch by the average commute to work in somewhere like North Devon.

moreover, there are zero good motorsport venues here. you have spectacles (oval pack racing) and then you have zilch, maybe a few gokarts, until you move to europe, unless deteriorating road courses that charge exorbitant "well we gotta pay the bills and only get two people a month" prices.
