I think I want a crown vic as a DD/winter beater
I know they have V8s but how are they on gas?
and what should I look out for on these also is it legal to put "NOT A COP" on both sides of the car.

Why would you want rwd v8 for winter?
I get about 16-18 daily. I don't hypermile like a communist. On road trips I get 22mpg with no cruise control. 3.27 open diff.

because fuck you Im in America and I could do what i want
>>16203260
nice, is it a comfy car to drive?
>>16203301
I think it is. Has some road noise but no wind noise. Police versions have less sound insulation and I bet the police tires are more noisy too. It's not that bad, made a trip from seattle to portland and back and occupants slept fine on the way.

>RWD for winter
That's a dumbass idea.
Also no, It's not illegal to decal "not a cop" on your car in the US. It starts to become illegal when it says "police" on it (except the demonstration police cars that say "demonstration vehicle" under the word "police"
I believe It's even legal to equip it with red and blue lights and a siren just as long as you absolutely never under any circumstances activate either on a public roadway or parking lot

Not OP, but sliding around in the winter is fun as fuck.

You can slide around way faster with awd.
>know they have V8s but how are they on gas?
Acceptable. Better than a truck but worse than a Civic.
>and what should I look out for on these
INTAKE MANIFOLD. If the car has the old plastic style it WILL eventually crack and spew coolant. The only question is when. Later Panther body cars have a revised manifold with a big metal brace on the front so you can tell the difference.
> also is it legal to put "NOT A COP" on both sides of the car.
It is, but if you want a Crown Vic without the stigma of it being a Crown Vic, you could just get a Mercury Grand Marquis instead. Same car, different headlights, more likely to have been driven to and from church by a little old lady instead of abused by Copscowl McJawline every time the radio goes off.

There is literally nothing wrong with a RWD winter beater.

>also is it legal to put "NOT A COP" on both sides of the car.
Never mind, OP is a dumbass teenager
RWD in winter, rather I should say in snow, is just fine if you have good tires and you know the basics of throttle control.
Douchebags who will run bald all seasons in the snow are who need to stay away from RWD

You can't just blast into the corner. That's why that happens.
