how many times do you give your car a tune up each year?

Annual tune-ups are a meme on modern cars, the exception being oil changes.

Twice. I re-sync my carbs to cope with the temp change and do anything else than need doing.

my dd, not even once, gets plugs every 2 years.
my old car will get tuned for cold weather. and new plugs every spring.
>>16186059
Never
It's a diesel truck, just feed it oil every few months and it will be fine

Do your plugs really get bad so quickly?Just curious because I'm driving with mine for 4.5 years now and they're still fine. I mostly drive on the highway though so that might help.

Most standard copper plugs have a change interval about every 20000 miles. That's roughly 2 years of driving for most people just commuting. If your running iridium or platinum they last longer than that provided your not burning oil or running rich. Also mostly highway miles does help as your car is usually running at optimum a/f mix for a long time.

>tune up
What does this even mean anymore?
>>16186059
Less than zero
>>16186059
never.
Every month
Lol, for our shop "tune up" means we replace plugs and check everything under the hood. For $70. Like what the actual fuck.
We dont even replace plug wires.
It's a good scam though. Because roughly %70 of the time, we have valve cover gaskets that need replacing too so we make like 140 off of that.

What about them goes bad? I've never changed my plugs and they all seem to spark just fine.
