I've cleaned the shit out of my inner fenders, and shit. Blasted all the dirt off the suspension components.
Never needed to go in like pic. I just blast it with brake clean, and wash off with water. 100% clean

There's no point for most people.
But if you ever want to win a car show it really is necessary.
Paddock cars will look good, better than most cars really, but the winners look like something that was freshly built in a factory where everyone wears full body suits behind an airlock and you can see the difference.

If you do track days regularly and have to work on the car all the time it's nice not to have dirt and muck everywhere. A clean car is an easy car to work on.

He is not too bad, the main reason he did that was to have a greater understanding on the condition of his car and on what needs to be fixed. The thing he did with the lug nuts is pretty spastic though.
