So after not having a car for over a year, I bought a shitty 95 golf sport for 600.
Needs work, but I can deal with it, mostly.
I'm army staying in air force barracks. Car in parking lot out front. Decided to tinker with the engine a bit. Nothing too much. Go over things, tighten some bolts, replace some fluids.
MP's roll up and ask what I'm doing, explain I just bought it and am tinkering. Proceed to ask why the MP's care. They get triggered. Apparently the air force MP's aren't MP's and don't like being called that. They're security forces. Explain such to me in that oh so butthurt way. Then give me ticket for working on my car. Before I can really say much, they leave.
Fuck everything. I can't even enjoy my shitbox now.
So, how as the man recently ruined your day /o/?

What did that used to be?

Headlights say this.

>being in the Military
>After 2015
You fucked up, Shit went downhill mid 13 and has proceeded to get worse and worse since 10.
Also you have a fucking full facility on base. Just tell them you were checking your coolant level.
Instead of being a little bitch.

You were approached by MP's and you didn't expect for them to try and prod you in the ass with their two-inch authority boners?

Air Force fag here
First off what base are you at, that has a lot to do with how salty Secfo is.
Second off, they're called dorms dumbass. Learn air force words so you don't piss more people off.
Third you can fight the ticket, maybe go visit the ADC and say that you weren't actually performing any work and see what they can do for you.
FOURTH, on most air force bases, since they're country clubs after all, we have hobby shops which include lifts for your car, take it there so you aren't ticketed
fifth, literally every base I've been to where I've been in the dorms they have EXPLICITLY said in the newcomers brief that you can't work on cars in the dorm lot, but you are army so I wouldn't be surprised that that just went right over your head.
Sixth, if your entire job is standing at a gate 12 hours a day, the few days that you aren't standing at the gate or sitting in the car you go around looking for something to do, and guess what, you gave security forces something to do, it's your own fault.

thank u 4 ur service

I actually appreciate the info.
And I wasn't told shit.
The sergeants in charge gave me a key, said there's your room and that's it.
And yeah, I've tried to pick up on the air force words, but there's no reason for someone to be upset if I use the army term.
Also, Air Force needs to stop being bitches and come home. You're missing out on all the big green weenie.

Then your dorm managers are shitty. All bases I've been to have had a newcomers brief that included a booklet detailing everything about the dorms, including what is/isn't allowed.
The citation didn't include a fine did it?
And the air force is filled with coddled entitled millenials, the farther away from the mission they are (personnel/finance vs. maintenance) the more butthurt they get over shit that doesn't matter. You are army on an airforce base though, so unless you're at a big joint base you're most likely a unicorn and people wont really know how to handle you and will stay away. Secfo is the exception.
