Everything else has been wear parts or fluids. And I have beaten the SHIT out of this car. I redline it every time I drive, do powerslides all the time, and it has at least 2 dozen hours of WOT/redline track time.

All four tires, front brake pads and discs, windscreen, front bumper/support/foglight housing, all of the filters.
> Work to be done
Bodywork and paint. There's a few scrapes and dents in it.
Engine air filter, come the summertime.

I fucked up one corner stoving in the back of a Fiesta, a chip hid behind the rearview mirror mount and spread to fuck up the screen, and I bought it a full service in my first year of owning it as a treat.
And, frankly, people can't fucking drive or park here. ~1k in bodywork damage means I got off easy,

None of the above has been particularly expensive and I have had the car for a very long time so I am pretty happy with it. Hedgehog resistor was the worst as being a right hand drive model you have to do the upside down contortionist act in the drivers footwell and enjoy the clutch pedal poking you in the eye

1996 E36 316i
ATM almost 259k km / ~161k miles

Bought with 226k km in September 2015
Since then:
>serpentine belt
>control arm bushings
>tie rod ends
>all gaskets except head gasket
>muffler (fart can, OEM had holes)
>climate control computer (bad capacitor probably but couldn't be bothered to fix it myself so just bought a new one)
replaced. Also, sway bar welded into place. Overall I paid 5k PLN ($1200) for the car and ~7k ($1600) in repairs and shit + 2500PLN ($~600) for LPG. Was it worth it? Probably not. Would I do it again? Probably yes. I love it except it has a shitty fucking gutless hopeless engine.

Things I wish I could afford:
>repainting, paint has lots of scratches all over
>6 cyl swap
>replace the whole braking system, it's rusty
>16 inch wheels
>maybe M-package bumpers
>sporty suspension
>LSD

>Other than fluids what all has had to be replaced on your car?

Chevrolet Cavalier 1997 Cayenne Metallic Red Sedan LS with 2.4L (looks new, original exterior). Still runs fine at 131K miles almost all city miles.

a. gold class car wax every so often with detailer spray to remove bird droppings
b. brake pads every so often
c. spark plugs at 48K miles, 94K miles
d. i sulfated the battery at 30K which was my fault. Replaced battery around 85K.
e. water pump at 87K and replaced serpentine belt then too since cost was minimal (essentially just the part since water pump was being replaced). Also replaced thermostat valve too as preventative measure.
f. ignition lock (tsb item so no charge to me)
g. airbag something (recall item)
h. tires every now and then since AA traction rated tires wear out fast
i. new A/C compressor at 95K
j. new boot cover at approx 30K due to it being torn
k. new oil pan due to drain plug being stripped at 112K. Stealership really ripped me off there with their oil change. It was not leaking oil when I entered the dealership for an oil change. The one time I get a dealer oil change and of course they strip the thread and charge me for it.
l. No other real parts replacements and it should reach 140K. And it still looks new.

The car always had mobil1 full synth except the time I went to dealer due to their coupon. After I bought it new, I switched to mobil1 full synth at 100 miles. Most oil changes were at walmart service center so it is possible for these places to be good 2 decades in a row which is how long I had the car. My other cars I take there too.

All things considered it's a decent shitbox. I would never want to drive a shitty diesel van over this. I'd love to race you but not in a stoplight race since straight line racing is the faggiest thing in existence.

Basically what >>16161774 said. In my case, the heater and fan just stopped working one day. This was in the middle of winter, so a total pain in the arse. Very easy to replace on LHD models, just take the glove box out and there you are. Less so on the RHD models.

The week it took for the part to arrive made me realise how much you miss the heater / fan when it isn't there!

>Do you have the US Focus like me or the Euro version?
Euro spec. I bought it used, three years old at 45k miles. No idea what the original driver was like, but the discs were worn way down when it came up for MOT this year. I was told 'a few thousand miles, and not much more on the pads', so I got both changed.
I live in the UK, though, so brakes get used a lot more here. We have these things called 'corners'.
I get the feeling that the 'from new' owner buys new cars, rags them, and trades them in for a new one when they're paid off, before any maintenance really needs doing.
If I can get a nearly new car for a third of the new price, I'm not complaining.
>>

It's a min-MPV, based off an 'executive saloon' platform.
Kinda like a crossover, but bigger and without the ride height cranked up.
My father drove one, until he discovered it was a gutless liability while towing. Didn't last long after it nearly got us both blown off a bridge into the sea.

2004 Chevy Tracker
>Miles you've put on it

>Parts replaced
Battery 2x
Front brake pads
Rear brakes, the whole kaboodle
Multiple wheel bearings, usually one every other year
Door handle
Hood
Headlight assembly
Grill
The suspension has been all but completely thrashed for almost 3 years but Im too jewish to see why its worth spending money to fix it. Its bouncy, BFD.

The body stuff was from a deer strike. Thebdoor handle I blame on repeatedly yanking on it to break it free of ice in the winter since I park outside. The wheel bearings probably die faster because of deicer, but allignment shop guy says thats a common Tracker issue.

I also have a leaking power steering pump and I suspect my alternator is about to shit all over itself but meh.
