Just a general thread for shit to do before winter hits.
Will washing and waxing my car really help against salt on road and shit? Or will wax rub off with the first few drives in shit conditions anyway?

Buy a Jeep XJ for $2500 and drive that instead.
my winter beater
got some cheap chink all season tyres, holds the car on ice pretty well, also does sick skids at 60mph
good wax won't last all winter but you can potentially re apply mid winter.
also, look up some stuff called fluid film for undercoating to block rust.
it smells fucking awful but you can spray it everywhere no problem.....except the exhaust DONT spray it o. there it'll smell awful for a week

>rwd winter beater
Sounds fun but you have no grip anon

Don't park your car in the garage. It will slow down the rusting process.
>But but its cold!!!
quit being a pussy
>some people still think you can't drive RWD in winter
>they probably use summer tires
>they're probably open diff peasants

AWD is kind of a meme unless you're going up 45 degrees on ice
in all other cases snow tires are better

Washing the places where the salt got to is the biggest deal. People also occasionally spray oily film on the bottom and suspension arms. That forces the water off similar to how WD40 displaces water.

undercoating one a year
I also get a season pass at a carwash thats on my route between home and work. take it through almost every other time I drive in the winter.
