I'm shopping around for an exhaust for my Mustang. It seems like every aftermarket exhaust is going to have some amount of drone. The issue is, there seems to be no real way of experiencing drone through a Youtube video, so I'm forced to go in blind with respect to exhaust drone. I'm looking for something loud like Borla Ataks, but those cost over a grand and I think that's a bit outrageous. Flow master Outlaws apparently have a big drone issue. Roush seems like a happy medium. Since I have no way of experiencing what drone is, I don't know if it would bother me much.
In the video linked on top, that car must have lots of drone since it's heavily modified and clearly doesn't have a stock exhaust, right?

Okay, listen up faggot
Your main causes of drone are going to be
A) not having a catalytic converter
B) not having a resonator
If you have these and a normal muffler (read not some 1k dollar bullshit) you probably wont have drone.
If you still have drone, you can do a cutout with a J pipe and tune it to get rid of the resonance
Also modified =/= drone =/= noisy
My car is modified as fuck and you can barely hear when its running
Dont be a fuckstick and instead opt for quiet exhaust
Same issue op. I have a turbo charged vehicle and can't stand the highway drone of an open pipe. I'm going to just by a remote controlled cutout to have the benefits of both worlds
I've got the roush axle back on my 2015 GT and love it. No drone loud enough when I get on it but not obnoxious. Factory cat and resonators
