wadup its 6am and I have been up all night, anyone still up I need some help with my shocks on my d21 4x4 nissan hardbody. I am replacing the shocks with some cheap ass advanced auto shocks since the old ones are rusted to hell. Well My bolt is stuck in the bushing, the bolt just free spins, I have hammered at this mother fucker but it just wont come out, gonna be drilling it out soon, anything else to try before I do that?
I used a youtube video for reference that is why there is no bolt on this picture btw.
Do you need to save the bushing? If not and you have extra bushings, just torch that muhfugga out with a $15 home depot propane torch. Even if the bushing is metal, it will at least expand and maybe allow you to pull the bolt out

Get sawzall or hacksaw between (inside braket) on head side and cut flat.
The rubber bushing should go first giving you a little room to not saw into the bracket.
t. I've hand hack sawed through spring bolts on both sides
Try to go to an Ace hardware and buy a few Grade 8 replacement bolts then cut the old one out.
I ran into the same issue when i had to replace my leafsprings.
Did op died
you need a bigger hammer
