Should I gut my car's interior to make it go faster?

I never understood people who gut their interior.
I get you want to reduce weight, that's what I want.
But I don't throw the whole interior away and call it a day.

Don't remove anything if it isn't 100% on the track all the time - completely pointless as it won't make any difference

You'll probably get 20kg out of sound deadening if you're lucky, if you stripped EVERYTHING out including AC system if you have it and all but two seats you'd probably get 100-130kg maybe - depends on the car.

replace glass windows with plexi (aside from driver's side, if you want it to be retractable still)

remove spare tire
