So first time Prius owner here.I live in Michigan and its obviously getting cold as shit here.Now during the summer I noticed I could get average about 48-50 miles on it by being careful on the road.Once cold hit im getting average 44 sometimes lower thought it might be the cold.Well Michigan warmed up for awhile but it was still getting low miles.No lights are on and no codes being thrown.
Im thinking of replacing the 12 v with a yellow top and getting a tech to test my Hybrid batter.Any info,Ideas,suggestions on what I should Do? It only has 89000 on it so I would think the hybrid battery would be fine.
Any help appreciated.

Do you mean "miles per gallon"? No way do the old ones go 50 miles on battery alone.
Yes, all cars get worse MPGs in the winter. Cold tires for a start, and since it's a hybrid it has to power the electric heater. If you're not an idiot you'll have put on snow tires, and obviously they get worse mileage than summer tires.
