The deer didn't do really any of the damage. He popped out, I was going 73 zoning out on the interstate at 3am, tried to correct to avoid the bastard, hit a lot of loose sand on the breakdown lane, clipped the end of a guardrail, guardrail ripped the entire wheel and hub to shit, I lost control cause no wheel, went off into the center median which was a 15 foot or so drop, went through a bunch of saplings and collided with the embankment on the other side and stopped dead. Rear of the car was still immaculate.

I've encountered deer jumping in front of me multiple times and always avoided them by maneuvering around, or braking if I had enough time. The only way I could see hitting one is if you're a fucking woman, or it jumps at your car when you're less than 15 feet away, truly at the last fraction of a second. I usually drive with one hand at 12 and one out the window, too. What's it like having such shit reflexes?

Airbags arent designed to deploy when hitting animals/people/etc.

They're only supposed to go off when the car experiences severe deceleration, such as hitting another vehicle/object of similar/greater mass. This is because you are only likely to be whipped forward violently during periods of massive deceleration, therefore the airbags deploy to stop you from bangin ur noggin.
