Anyone have any experience owning or driving a Lincoln Navigator? I'm looking at getting a 2007-2014. Might consider 2005-06 since it has the 6 speed too.
Never given much thought to them until recently, but it looks like there is a lot more room for passengers on the Expedition platform vs the Tahoe and Suburban. Expedition also has independent suspension all around and Navigator has a nicer interior. Only downside is the anemic 5.4 SOHC but it's enough for what I want.

literally why? it's a fancy expedition. shit mpg.
if you need to tow, get a truck, if you need to haul people, get a minivan.

Why do you want one over any other SUV. DO you need a lot of space? Why not save $10k and just get the Expedition?

>wanting a Navigator instead of a V10 Econoline Van
You're doing it wrong, anon

Plan on some road trips and overall just a comfy commuter. Gas mileage is not a big deal to me. At least it can take cheap gas.

The expedition looks a lot cheaper inside and there is almost no price difference between the newer Expedition and Navigators. I think the hideaway running boards look cool too. Everyone has a Tahoe and the interior looks small. I like the amounts of chrome and retro styling of the Navigator.

Would be overkill and want to go full comfy.

You can get those on an expedition. My dad has them on his.

Well if you do get one, don't get the 2007 model. You'll be fucked with problems, Being the first model release and all.

I own a nav. I love it but it's a total waste of money.

Fully loaded expeditions cost about the same as the Navigator and I just like how it looks inside and out compared to the Ford.

I'm mostly looking at the 2009-2014. 2009 got 10 more horsepower, e85 capability and a ford transmission instead of a german transmission.

I want a V8 new ones are ecoboost only.

How can you love something yet think it's a waste?

Because Navs are money pits, nothing different from the Ex, just a spiced up interior for you, and a glamoured exterior. Soon you'll realized you've wasted money on a nicely dressed Expedition that's adds nothing different, function wise.

What is a money pit about them besides fuel?
Had a 2003 Navigator, I was the first and only owner for 11 years. 125k on the clock when I sold it, only thing I ever did was put gas and change the oil, even had the original battery. It never skipped a beat, and drove from Florida to New York at least 8 times.
