who else here loves the design of these?
Its like a wedge, but its curved and I think that looks pretty neat
also, cute pop ups
as well as the triangle engine, and manual, I could see myself buying this car one day.

I do but no one else apparently does. The Porsche 944s are like that and would love to do a tricked out jobbie on them.
But most people I talk to says they look like shit. Am I aestheticing wrong?
>>16088258
yeah its one of my favorite cars
>>16088287
this looks awful tho

I don't think there's a single rotary car that looks bad, especially any generation of the Rx7. I do really like the shape and design though
it is objectively good car design
Get one then, they're cheap as fuck. My brother had one for his first car, it was loads of fun.

This, most people want FDs and maybe FCs, you can probably find an FB for cheap. I've also heard good things about the 12a motors

Yeah, I live in a relatively rural area and there's at least 3 on craigslist for < $1k. Really tempted to get one.

dude I ran into had a late 70s one
had just an intake, carb, header, and exhaust and it scooted pretty damn good for what it was
based on some of the cars he was running with Id say it was a mid-high 14 second car which seems crazy for something that had 100hp stock with little done do it
especially when I think about a D16 Honda running around with a header intake exhaust and headswap only running mid low 15s lel

First car I ever bought, it was 400 bucks non running in some guys yard with the drive shaft removed as well. Sat for two years and the wife wanted it gone.
Poured atf into the rotors, new battery, cables and fluids and she started right up. I put 20k on that old bastard before the oil line blew and I decided to swap it.
This is the day I brought her home
And then I was unemployed for a while two years into owning her, I sold her to my neighbor for 400$ a 30 rack and a taco bell twelve pack. He sold the car to his brother and once I was able to track him down I make the trip from MSP to Duluth and brought her back home. I overpaid what he car was worth but I needed her back. I normally got 11mpg on the downhill back from Duluth I got 28ish. Here's a picture of me attempting to race a Evo on the way back.
She also had a leaky oil seal and did this on cold starts. My girlfriends neighbors fucking hated the car, it was a full three inch straight pipe, and was louder than a Harley. It also smoked out full neighborhoods.
I later found out that if you redlined third on he highway and then let off, you could smoke out tail gaters, and if you let off the around 6500 and then back on it would throw flames at tail gaters too.
Also the motors are really tiny on these cars. If you do buy one, make sure it's been premixed.
Check behind the seat tubs for rust. It gets really bad and most people end up welding in new metal to fix it.
And remember the bolt pattern is 4x110 so good luck finding any wheels.
