What does /o/ think of the slingshot in terms of actual ownership? I own a Miata (inb4 gay) and love the visceral feeling of being in total control of the car. I've driven a few motorcycles, but not as my own. How much of a jump would it be to a Slingshot and what are some good alternatives?
Pic related.

It has the same practical ownership negatives that motorcycles have. limited cargo, open to weather, not safe, you have to wear a helmet in some states/countries.
Unique cons compared to bikes: costs $20k minimum and maintenance can be quite expensive
Unique pros compared to bikes: cupholders
Don't buy that buy this, Dummy

>Unique pros compared to bikes: cupholders
Invalid argument. Cruisers have had em for literal decades.

The gayest car from gaytown for faggots too scared to ride motorcycles. You may as well get a forehead tattoo that says "I'm a small dicked pussy". Seriously, just get a bike and quit being a faggot
Motorcycles are better in every way.

Watch Rob Spaghetti's video on it.

Are you over 60 years old? If not, you shouldn't be driving one. I've never seen someone under that age driving one.

Pointless desu, you get none of the advantages of a bike like being fast as shit, specialised for a task (i.e. going fast, going off road etc), being cheap to run or great in heavy traffic (i.e. filtering between cars) and none of the advantages of a car like being able to store shit in it or be warm and dry when you're operating it.
It's a lose/lose for me. Plus it's ugly and has a shitty GM four banger for an engine so it isn't even exciting in that respect desu.
Seems to me like the avoidance of rollover would be a good plus. Have any of you guys crash a bike?

Last I checked, rolling a bike isn't a major issue. Getting rammed in the ass by distracted SUV drivers in traffic is. This thing is sort of more safe, due to somewhat larger crumple zones, but part of the reason it's got 3wheels is so it can ignore safety laws that apply to cars.
Since you own a Miata already and if you wanted something like this, if your Miata is NA or NB you can transform it into an exocet, look into one on flyin Miata
Probably would try and avoid DD one unless you're an absolute madman
Except for Morgan. Three wheel cars are made by companies that don't want to do the engineering and regulatory to put out a proper car
You'll need to invest in a set of motorcycle riding gear that touring riders wear if you are serious about owning one.
Aerostich suit, electric vest and chaps, gloves, etc. It's going to be just like a motorcycle when it rains - perhaps even worse because you are sitting low. All that wet road gunk is going to be throw thrown in your face. You sit much higher on a bike.
Something to think about.

I feel like you could probably get the same if not better experience than using the miata you already have and converting it with one of those exoskeleton open wheel chassis that I forget the name of

if you don't want to look like a complete faggot driving a Transformer's head, get one of these instead
