I really want to dislike this car
ever driven one?
I'm not lowering mine, keeping it stock height on steel wheels of same dimensions because it handles so well as where i like (gravel roads etc) that it can handle really anything i need it for.
In case you have seen pictures or been in one, the trunk is almost a mini truck bed, i hauled a shop vac with tools in it and 4 people no problem. something that you really cant get from other cars in its class. Its not perfect, its basically always falling apart. And I mean actually falling apart.
its easy to do when its a fat chunk of 80s ugly

So whats a cool car to you?
only the coolest car ever made

Drove quite a few in my time. They quite literally handle like a boat, at least in stock form.
When they have some wide wheels and coilovers they're a bit better.
I love them, and definitely am thinking on getting one.

my dream car is a celica supra. I can't even say why exactly, it just makes me happy to look at it.
maybe its the i6, maybe its because it shares its aftermarket with the mk2 supras.... I dunno. I really, really want one.

They're nice cars. I have two.

anoooon
>>16080918
2nd gen Celica-Supra are MK2 Supra. 3rd gen Celica you can interchange a few parts with MK2 Celica-Supra. Supra was just a trim of Celica until 1986 when it branched to its own model
i have a 1st gen, you can take the odd parts from Celica and my 1st gen can use AE86 rear axle and brake lines.
>>16080964
isn't 3rd gen when they changed over the celica to fwd?
and I thought the Celica XX and Supra were two distinct vehicles? Not including L-type/P-type pedantics
>>16080969
nope 3rd gen were the last of the RWD, 4th gen were the first FWD generation. MK1 Celica- Supra and MK2 Celica-Supra are the North American equivalent of Celica XX, XX was the JDM version. Supra in Japan started in 1986.5, Supra were a trim of Celica in North America since 1979
the L-Type thing and P-type thing were purely MK2 Supra. 1st gen were basically chrome mirror with hubcap wheels like my 1979, 1980 and 1981 were alloy wheels with black mirrors. main difference is here in Canada almost all MK1 had a LSD rear end except the early 1979 like mine, USA LSD was only an option
mines the 4166th Supra ever made and the first month/year of Supra being January 1979, mint and original with me being the 2nd owner it should appraise for at least $12000 more like $15000. i bought it for $2600 after his uncle the original owner left it to him in his will
>>16080980
so basically, any supra made before 1986 and any celica xx/CeliSupra are the same horse under different names
>>16080985
yep, 1979-1986.5 Celica-Supra are Celica XX. JDM Celica XX got different engines, 1st gen had ME-U and ME-UT (turbo version), cant remember what 2nd gen had. North American spec 1st gen had 4M-E (EFI Cressida engine) for 1979/1980 and 5M-E for 1981. otherwise theyre nearly identically the same, i have a original sales brochure for 1st gen Celica XX and its literally just the steering wheel on the other side
>>16080992
that makes me really sad. I had an option to pick up one this spring for $1600 with minor fender rust, a blown headlight motor, and no other mechanical issues, and instead bought a Focus because I didn't know enough about it.
h-hold me
>>16080842
why are they falling apart anon? :(
