That doesn't work anymore that well since they adjusted how much force the hose is able to take with today's update. If you try to drive off, it'll detach and drop down the well. Has done so no matter how fast or slow I take off.

If you want to flip less take the highway route everywhere. When you exit your property take the left turn towards Loppe and at the next dirt 4 way intersection you see turn right and the highway will be a few feet down that road. Turn left onto the highway for Loppe (body shop and 4 door sedan) or right for a long trip to the store, pub, and registration place. You seem to get better gas mileage on the highway too.

Why is the muscle car so garbage? I literally can't give it any throttle without spinning the fuck out. The van is a diesel and has that glow plug light too. In the middle of the dash is 3 lights with a longer one on top of 2 smaller ones. That longer one is the glow plug light and if you wait for it to go out it starts with a 1-2 second crank.

double checked spark plugs and distributor as well. gasket is indeed on the car.

haven't checked the oil pan yet but im pretty sure thats all on too.

Is there supposed to be some way to tell what size wrench you need? It's kind of fucking tedious to find which one you need, the game could at least tell you if the wrench you're trying to use is too big or too small so you don't have to go through every single size one by one.

I did had fun building the entirey of the fucking car. If it only had the option to have a 5 gear shifter and be able to add both the clock and the tachometer and make it feel more like a modern car i would feel better.


Actually, i would love it if the dev spent some time making it slightly more realistic adding piston rings simulation and shit, and adding more cars. Not in the game per say, but say, in another game where you can do the same thing to a 240SX or a Miata or an E30 BMW

You guys are better with cars, so, do any of you have any quick cheat sheet for problem solving? Like, what kind of symptom corresponds with what kind of problem? What are the most common problems with cars / engines? What does a certain error sound?

Just came out on early access dude. There's already a few shells of American cars laying around the map plus a V8 in the repair shop and he plans to do stuff with them. Also remember this game takes place in the late 80s early 90s so if he sticks to that it'll limit what cars are in the game.

Any issues with the engine just exploding are usually from a loose bolt somewhere so double and triple check them when building the engine.

Any other running issues are fixed by tuning the valves and the carburetor. Just turn them left or right until it idles/sounds good.

Fill your liquids. not everything tho. wait a little bit. Go back to filling them. Is the green bar the same as before? if not, a bolt is missing/badly adjusted and you have a leak. If not, everything its fine.

The engine and suspension and maybe even the body/interior its easy enough to see how many bolts you need. Its the engine compartment where shits hits the fan to see and make sure that you have everything bolted thight. Be aware. Remember that when you build the car its not gonna have fuel. There's a small can with some fuel in the garage.

If you click on the ignition and there is power (lights can come up, dials move, wipers work) but you cant actually crank the car, it could be the starter.

If it cranks but it wont start, it could be electrical issue (remember spark plugs have to be placed in with the scroll wheel).

If the engine starts but its funky, if when you leave the throttle and leave it idling it turns off, its a carb idle screw issue. If there's a weird sound when the engine is running rocket arms were set wrongly.

Remember that there's a lot of bolts for the brake lines. 12 in total. 7 of them in the engine bay, another one in the drivers side of the car almost under it, 1 per wheel.

If trying to get a body panel in and it doesn't let you see the check mark anymore, it could be because the body itself got too bent and it wont let you place shit anymore.


Possible tip: Each seat takes 4 bolt, and it might just be me, but it seems the rear seat takes just 2 bolts.

Use the mouse wheel to move the atlernator as far out as possible (remember, one of its screws is 7mm and the other one is 10mm. Have them thight).

Then go buy the fan belt from the store. Pick it up, move it close to the alternator and add it (you dont unwrap it nor do anything. just add it as it is to the engine).

Then grab the screwdriver, and JUST screw the screw of the alternator in, making sure not to move the alternator itself a little bit too close. Once you are done, the alternator should be in place and thight, and the fanbelt should look fine.

I've got my car up and running for a while now and I don't see any problems with it, but wanted to know in case I get any problems with my Satsuma. The engine sounds a bit funny, as in it has this cyclical noise. I dunno if it's normal or not. The belt should be tightened.

I followed the often posted wikia guide when building car so everything should be fine, although I don't remember there being 12 bolts for the brake lines.

You are welcome. The noise might be the untuned rocker arms. The guide does explain how to tune the carb, but since its from the old 172 leak it has no info about how to tune the rocker arms nor how to align the wheels.


In fact, i think that there is no correct way to align the wheels yourself other than with trial and error since no machine to do so has been released for the game

i use a button for the clutch and im driving a column shift van so a h shifter doesnt seem that useful.. Plus, have you used this steering wheel?> its rubbery feeling, bur comfortable, and it has the proper racing steering wheel feel. it has the thumb grip things. and its got two little round buttoons on the rear i use foor the indicators. its actually pretty good! and i dont think this game is Pcars or AC so why bother pluggin in the g27 when i alreadyh had this setup?
