this is a fucking emergency. Near my where I live there is a guy selling a 2.5 rs Sti, now when I was younger my dream car was the Sti, but something seems fishy about this car since I know these model are rare, the dude is asking 3,600 for it and that is what's bothering me. How do I make sure the car is legit and it's not another model with the rs Sti badges? I don't know much about it other than knowing its rare. So that's why It seems to me kinda sketchy. I want /o/'s opinion. I don't want any shit talk I just want to know if iTs legit. Also it has all the badges and a scoop.

It could just be badges, but that still seems like a decent price for an rs

Worst case scenario it could either be breaking or broken down, or possibly illegal in your area. I know here people will swap them with older/non obd2 engines and unload them on someone else before they have to do emissions

At that price its an sti badge and that's all. Ask for engine bay pics anyways. Drop it down to 3000-2800 and you're good, that's still a fun car.
