I really really love the Triumph Thruxton.
Cafecuck contributing
cafecucks are the stancefags of motorcycling, prove me wrong cafecucks.

Nah I agree with you, it's all an aesthetics thing
But cafe bikes are safe for road use and cause no detriment to the bikes function
>>16065334
Cafe cycle CAN actually improve performance if done right.
How about bobbers? This is my Honda Shadow 1100 ACE that I made a few years back.
>>16065349
Bobbers are a boomer thing so I never got into them
>>16065344
of a shitbike, but it will still have shitbike performance.
>>16065352
How much money have you dumped in that Honda?

S E X Y
>>16065352
How are bobber boomer bikes? If anything, they stay away from them cause they aren't rolling couches like Harleys are.
>>16065358
Very little since construction
Oil and a filter before winter storage, and a 20 dollar fuse box after I fucked up the last one.
Just some weird wiring shit to figure out, might involve a new speedo but 80s honda a immortal
>>16065349
If it had nitrous I would be impressed a little bit.
>>16065344
It's done right only when the bike is born as a cafe racer.
>>16065340
>cause no detriment to the bikes function
>semis on bikes that had handlebars
>replacing a comfy two seat with a cut of leather
>>16065365
Bobbers evolved from Harleys like cafes evolved from ujm's. Stripping bikes down to go fast. The difference is that Bobbers were popular since like prewar, and boomers have been building them long before ujm cafes came overseas
>>16065382
WAAAAH different ergonomics make bikes dangerous!!!
They're all dangerous lad
>>16065389
Converted cafe racers are dangerous plus they handle shittier.
>>16065384
So just because something started a long time ago amongst the youth, it's a boomer things? So I guess racing is a boomer sport. Shooting is a boomer activity. Modifying your car is a Boomer activity as well. And really, bobbers and Cafe racers are the same thing; one is just on a cruiser platform while the other is on a sports bike.
>>16065389
But some are a lot more dangerous then others

>>16065404
Shit, I didn't explain my point
Bobbers were more popular for the previous generation, while ours went towards sport bikes and standards. Not that young guys can get into Bobbers, it's just why you see older American men on Harleys more often than Hondas. Catch my drift?
>>16065402
With my shadow, I lowered my seating position 6" into the bike. Combined with the low drag bars; my riding position was pretty much hugging the bike with far forward foot controls. Now I never was a hectic rider, but I could really feel a difference in how far I could push the bikes limits after my mods.
>>16065415
No, you see retards on Harleys.

>Wanting a cafe over this
>>16065334
cafe racer is basically just removing stuff or replacing with smaller stuff and custom paint
less weight is always better
>>16066422
This
People get so upset when you change bars and seats.
Pic related is my build so far
Obviously brat and not cafe.
>>16065430
I doubt he even has a bike. More likely he's just a dumbfuck braindead contrarian.
>>16066465

that's an xj 400 that i bought to restore and turn into a café racer with my dad
it had sit 5 years when we got it
so we did a complete overall of the engine wich was in a pretty good shape
all cylinders sealed the valve had to be reworked a little bit but that it
we cut down the rear of chassis and made it closed sand and repainted
we changed the front fork and fit a xj550 because old was was rusted and this one as double disk brakes which is a little better
repaint the engine add a bit cosmetic stuff
next step is all th electronics
but it's on hold for personal reason
pic is when we bought it
didn't start at first
we manage to get it started and up too 6000 rpm (max is 10000) before we take it all appart
Is the new cafe racer going to be street trackers, or adventure bikes? I can see it going either way. In the bicycling world all hipsters have now abandoned fixies for adventure or "randonneuring" bikes.
>>16066418
>wanting that over anything
>>16068335
I cant stand those seats. So ugly.
>>16068504
How about this
>>16068513
Slightly better.
