I drive an FC with only 2 seats just fine. Feels good having less weight and more space for shit. Girls really dig it. It's never been an inconvenience for me because I hate having people in my back seat.

I've daily'd an NA for like 3 years, no complaints here. Im sure the ND is 10x comfier and less rattly. Perfect DD.

NDs are really good priced, I may be able to get away with financing, lease mileage restrictions are very unattractive. I do have a really solid wage slave job so price is pretty flexible for me

Early year NCs are ridiculously cheap now, and the most comfy for DD of all Miats, so I'd recommend that for you. Def get a 6 speed over a 5 though, for increased gear rowing fun. Got mine for 6k with 60k miles on it.

Though I will admit when I'm asked what I drive I never mention my Miata first, so the gay stigma has me pretty grasped by the balls

Also the ND is having glass transmission problems so you could also consider the 124 since it has the godly NC 6speed and arguably a more fun to DD abarth engine. And seeing as nothing else in it is actually Fiat, should be decently reliable. It's probably what I'd choose if I were buying new

Forgot about the Fiat, looks exactly the same on the inside. Has 1.4 instead of the mazda 2.0 but makes more hp, intresting.

The Abarth engine is one of the better sounding 4-pots around too, so a test drive will really make it shine. I enjoyed it more while I tested them, and it turns more heads because no one in the USA knows what Fiat is or how generally shit it is

If it's more open highway, you'd probably be better off with something like a Mustang or Camaro, simply because they will be faster/more fun for highway pulls and on-ramps, etc.

I mean, whatever you get, it basically boils down to how you plan to use it. Miatas are great for twisties, but tend to be dogs on the freeway because they're down on power. Other, larger 2-seaters at a similar price point would probably be better on the freeway, but might be lacking in some of the handling characteristics that people love about the miata.

Can't remember from the wheels if that's a sport package or not...but the e46 330ci I used to have was pretty on par for fun factor with my Miata. You're going to miss that I6 sound more than you could possibly know. Every time winter ends and I put the 335 back in the garage for the Miata, the glorious noise going away makes me so sad :(

I'm 5'11", with 32" inseam, 180lb. I've never been able to get comfortable in one. This one is better than before, but still too tight for me. Mainly headroom. Close, but no cigar.
