Subaru thread
I want a new WRX but the current gen is ugly as fuck.
I have a soft spot for bugeyes.
Also, does Saabaru (9-2x) count?

literally the only reason I didn't end up with one
Do you guys run the Cobb stage 2 or stage 3 coils in your vape?
What's the catch?

Only other car I'm considering is a 2010 Sentra SE-R Spec V with 50,000 miles for $6500 (which is also remarkably low, IMO).

First one - a list of mods a mile long and inevitably something will be horribly wrong when you look at it.
Second one - "IMPRESA"

Engine rebuild with so little mileage on it, just screams that corners were cut when it was done.

Thinking of buying pic related, he wants 7500 for it, should i? Would i just have to replace the turbo?

Heres the link, because im dumb
I want a wagon, what gen is the least likely to blow up because of ringlands or a gasket or whatever?

Go look at it, but be prepared to check the turbo as much as you can from the engine bay if the owner doesn't mind. It's easy to replace a turbocharger but make sure it hasn't cocked anything else up while it's been running shite.

None are immune.

Wagons are cool.

eyyy
I build subarus for a living. We have tours of the factory if any of you end up near it in Indiana. Would post a picture of my bugeye, however I currently don't have any.

Thoughts on the newer imprezas and crosstreks?
Aside from being slow, I can't figure out which is the lesser evil, the CVT or the floppy and numb manual 5 speed
>>16064192
Personally, I like the new blue for the brand new imprezas that we just recently started building. However, I've not been around it in a complete form too much. As for transmissions, the cvt is great for "normal" driving. Especially if you end up taking a path like the hybrid crosstrek. I drove one of those recently for quite a while, and I was pleased with my average mpg being around 35-40 in town. I personally haven't used one of the newer 5 speeds though. They seem to be fading out more and more as time goes on. Sadly regular old cars don't tend to get them anymore, which is true for all makes. In fact it's pretty rare to see a manual outback or legacy on the build schedules nowadays. Just a cool little tid bit too, if you haven't managed to hear already, we're setting up to build a new suv soon..and from what I've been told so far, it'll have a turbo option if that excites you at all. ;)

>Impresa
Meh, could be a good thing if its a boomer that never beat on it who owned it
The mod list a mile long I figured couldn't be bad given:
>2k on the engine build with receipts done by a Subaru tech
from the same ad
>>16063354
Are americans the only ones that find it ok to pay 7.5k for a car that has 283.00km? Here in Canada you can get a clean sti with 70k for 9kusd.
>>16063169
Im a massive vagina. Is subaru the one for me?
I'm just here to remind everyone that that subaru makes other really good cars that aren't the impreza
>>16064810
SHHHH, THE PRICES WILL GO UP
>>16064810
Funny thing is imprezas are pieces of shit
Thinking of getting 1.5 inch raising springs on her and getting 17 inch Oz Superturismo WRC wheels any thoughts?
