guess I'm not powdercoating them after all
It's actually like that on my motorcycle's caliper too. They have these guiding pins on the side with long ass dust boots that are attached to the caliper itself. Kind of annoying

My calipers were red from the factory, but it's a 30 year old car now and I want to restore them.
>not painting calipers that were originally painted

Its not melted on, its just stuck. Use a razor blade to seperete those two ends.

>not getting a complete rebuilt kit when painting your calipers
>>16049967
As far as I can tell no rebuild kit supplies a replacement for that particular dirt boot, only the other one
>>16049733
Those are actually separate pieces. The bottom of the boot has a metal insert that is pressed into the caliper, but you can get them out if you're not retarded.

What car?

My issue right now is if I can find the proper rebuild kit that contains a replacement

>>16055138
Yeah worst case scenario is I can't get them powder coated and just rattle can them
lol just use some glue and large heat shrink wrap

Just got back from oreillys and they can't even find stock in the u.s. for the rebuild parts. I think I might just say fuck it and buy remanned calipers and paint those.
