Did a coolant flush, and changed the diff oil in muh XJ. That's all I could muster this weekend.
>want to get into a project car
>no idea where to start
it's probably just a money sink anyway r-right?
Tried to put an mx5 (miata) specific roll bar in just to find that the rear legs that you drill into the boot compartment is too long and hits the firewall, gonna have to cut an entire bolt hole off either side just to have it fit, not to mention I bought it second hand and a few bits of hardware isn't there

Do you have a death wish, anon?

Don't you mean sissy bar? If you're going to be a faggot "biker" at least learn the lingo.
Minor bodywork on my 64 Falcon, getting closer to painting. Changed transmission filter and rear main seal on 99 durango.

By buying a buying project car.
Buy something that currently runs and drives. Owning a project car that needs a lot of work before even being able to move under its own power is hard to muster up ambition for.
Now there are exceptions to that. I purchased a Ranger that had a bad 4.0 and swapped in a 2.3t years ago. However, I already had a motor and I knew what I what needed to be done.
Also, if it's rusting just turn away.
It's always a money pit.
>Got a pair of vise grips out of my caliper guide pin that the p/o left in there after, I presume, smoking a lot of reefer
>Sealed an oil leak on my oil pan with the right stuff
>replaced 2 broken lugs on the rear wheels
>ordered a fuckhuge JDM dildo shift knob
>stopped a misfire in cylinder 5 with some electric tape
>made a little 'x' on my front passenger fender with masking tape and removed it 10 minutes later
>also realized I have no friends

>when your body mounts rust through that you need to tie down the body onto the frame.

>body onto the frame.
>unibody
Replaced all four strut and spring assemblies on my 03 Explorer. Rear springs were broken, struts leaking. Replaced rotors and pads as well. All the pads had no friction material left, rotors were done for. Sad to say, but it looked like the rear struts and springs were the original OEM part. The fronts were replaced at some time for cheap Monroe's. Rides and stops a million times better.
>considered washing my car, spraying the undercarriage with fluid film and buying a pedal spacer
>Realized I'm slightly over budget for the month
>Got drunk instead

Sissy bar for your boyfriend
Also
> having a pillion
New turn signal switch for the Comanche has eliminated all of my electrical problems. Two months of headaches and troubleshooting finally over.
Now I just have to keep on waiting for the techs to have time to do my diff rebuild and I might actually get the fucking thing home this year.
