They're premium price in Europe. For a price of a base Corvette I can get a Cayman S or M4 with full or close to full trim.

Euro cars are generally more comfortable, better looking, more civilized in terms of noice, decoration, and most importantly come with smaller displacements and better safety, which makes insurance ALOT happier.
