My Friday evening was good.

Girlfriend is doing a play with the local theater company tonight. Gonna take her out for Pizza afterwards. Might work on the motorcycle a bit after she passes out for the night but who knows.

Recently went out for a drive in the Malibu canyons after quite sometime and even with filling my gas twice in that trip I couldn't stop smiling the rest of the drive home. It's expensive but afterwards I remember why I did it in the first place.

My 2006 Civic Si cost me $8k back east, couldn't get anything like it for any cheaper.
After driving it for about 6 months I've decided I don't really like it. Button clutch in traffic, sorta cramped for a 6'3 male, not extremely exciting as a car.
I want something comfy that I can take camping.
Now that I'm in Colorado, and I can't sell the thing for more than 5k if I wanted to, and Navy Fed is being massive cunts about refinancing/selling it.

Here's what I did last weekend on my little 00 Focus ZTS.
>replaced throttle body and throttle position sensor
>replaced valve cover gasket, started leaking in the spring, didn't leak all summer and then started leaking once it got cold again

What you're seeing

Ford """engineering""" decided that using a piece of plastic in a high temperature intake was a smart ideal. It's chewed to shit.

as you can see, lots of oil everywhere. More of a messy than a difficult job. All 3 of these only took me about 2 hrs, with me never having done it before.

For this weekend?

For the future?

Work in the IT field and had a hell couple of weeks. I'm back on call as well, pretty much have to sit at home, be ready to assist since I am on call. 24 hour shift, 8 days. Anything happens at night, I get woken out of bed etc...
We have numerous dept across 8+ countries and when I am on call, who knows what time of the day they will escalate something to me,

TFW. We have a client in Japan, they want to do a conference call, well yea sure bu the time difference really complicates things. I don't work night shift, why am I in a meeting 1am in the US?

my day from start to finish went something along the lines of
