I wonder if this means we'll get the Pajero back stateside.

I hope Mitsubishi becomes the de facto sports division of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. It would be cool to see the Eclipse come back and see the Lancer EVO return in style (would it be asking too much for a 3000GT successor too?).

I've said this a couple times before since they first announced they were buying th company, but I see a silvia/starion revival platform coming and they might reboot the evo due to how fucking often every fanboy cries about wanting it back. I think it would be cool to see something kind of midway between the evo and the gtr though.

What's exciting is this is the first time the two can openly share all technology development. NMKV was kind of 3rd party between the two and didn't have direct influence. I think they'll use Mitsubishi's EV testbed from pikes peak for a performance hybrid like things have trended lately.

Ralliart Sweden has the mirage r5 which conforms with WRC2 regulations, but is only really seen in the American Performance Rally, World RX and someone has an excellent hillclimb WRT (pic related) but I would love to see them come back to rally full blown since their 8 year hiatus. With Skoda and Toyota making full forced comebacks it might happen.

But this only just began. Well have to give it a couple years of development.

Rebadges. The "new" Lancer will be a rebadged Pulsar or something.

>what would you guys like to see happen to mitsu
Eclipse brought back and sold outside the US market.

Evo XI, basically the X with more horsepower and weight reduction measures from the factory.

Galant. Now FR, 6G75 powerplant. Top trim AWD VR-4 with the twin turbo 6A12.

Silvia/Starion reboot, co-developed with Nii-san to force the Toyobaru to become competitive. RWD, longitudinally mounted 4B11T powerplant.

GTO/3000GT, MR/VR-4 flagship models.

Ralliart performance models for everything; Lancer Ralliart w/ 5spd GSR transmission, turbo Mirage to compete with the Fiesta ST,

i can import one right now but apparently most 15+ year old cars won't make it past customs here and they're not easy people to bribe, you need a whole load of connections
>>
What I want-
GT-R/370Z Evo (Handling upgrade) and Lancer/3800GT Nismo (VR38DETT) and rebadge of (AWD) Twingo as Mitsu Mirage MIEV coupe for USDM. Reboot of 300ZX w/ Mitsu 3.0l V6 and badge engineered version of it as 3000GT, the Z would have a twinturbo option and pop up head lead lights while the 3000GT would have an AWD option and lower weight.

What I expect-
CVT 3000GT

What I can afford-
CVT Mirage

>I wonder if this means we'll get the Pajero back stateside.
If it's the full size one you're talking about, I don't think so. The Pajero is on borrowed time globally, so I can't see it being complied for US sale in the future.
If it's the mid size Sport you're talking about however, there may be a very good chance.
>as long as it looks normal and doesn't go full fucking retarded like the pajero sport
Speak for yourself. I reckon the new PS Challenger/Sport looks sensational. My biggest gripe with it however is the uprated passenger car based diesel, and the fact they're an 8 speed auto only in my market.

>Rebadges. The "new" Lancer will be a rebadged Pulsar or something.
This will probably be the case at the outset because it's cheapest to do
>Eclipse brought back and sold outside the US market.
One can only hope
>Evo XI, basically the X with more horsepower and weight reduction measures from the factory.
Gonna require an assload of R&D and you better believe they make it so that it's nowhere near as fast as the GT-R, probably wouldn't see this
>Galant. Now FR, 6G75 powerplant. Top trim AWD VR-4 with the twin turbo 6A12.
Why would you go backwards? A better VR-4 would probably use a newer designed engine with AWD, and of course the North American version would be neutered because they don't want anything stealing the Maxima or Altima's thunder
>Silvia/Starion reboot, co-developed with Nii-san to force the Toyobaru to become competitive. RWD, longitudinally mounted 4B11T powerplant.
Would love to see this, but sadly would cost too much money, and look at the direction Nissan is going, not gonna happen
>GTO/3000GT, MR/VR-4 flagship models.
Again, no because if they release a sporty Mitsubishi it would probably be a Evo
>Ralliart performance models for everything; Lancer Ralliart w/ 5spd GSR transmission, turbo Mirage to compete with the Fiesta ST
Wouldn't be a five speed, but it doesn't matter because it won't happen again, look how badly GHOSN and Renault destroyed the Sentra, how bland the Versa is and how painstakingly boring their whole line-up is, you think they would dump more money into Mitsubishi than Nissan?

Out of all those buckets of shit, the current Patrol is the only remotely serious 4x4. They had to turn the Pathfinder into a bucket of shit crossover based on the Altima platform as oppose to the Navara/Hardbody/pickup Platform. Faggots.
Still seem unlikely at this stage there'll be a successor to the current full size 4th gen Pajero beyond 2020.

At best it may be an NX successor 4th gen Paj. So far they've had NS, NT, NW and the aforementioned NX.
If you know something I don't, and stumble back upon that information I'd love to read it, as the rumour is there not going to be a replacement once the 4M41 is unable to meet future emissions.
