The stop sign itself is the stop line. It isn't just fucking random bullshit, they position it to ensure other vehicles taking turns have the clearance to make them without hitting you.

For a human driver I wouldn't even mention it. Everyone does it, sure. But for an automated machine the fact that it breaks the rules and laws of the road is a huge problem. It should be programmed to stop exactly nose parallel with the sign.

I'd love to see one of these handle a blizzard with limited visibility and the sensors and cameras covered snow and ice. Driving around Califailia at 20mph isn't really impressing me.

Self driving cars WILL be the future but were still at least 5 years away. Planes and Trains have to go fully autonomous before I trust a self driving car.
