Does anyone here have experience swapping vin numbers on two bikes? For legitimate reasons of course.

I have a 50cc dirtbike I'd like to ride to the public mud trail a couple miles away, all back roads. But I lost the title in a house fire. My state doesn't do bonded titles, can't register without clear title in my name.

I mean, I could get a rivet gun and swap the vin plate over or just weld in that part of the frame to the dirt bike. From a legally registered donor bike.
