Honda decided that it needed to be a technology showcase instead of a corvette fighter.
When they did that, all pretense of affordability (which the original NSX had) went right out the window.
Sure, it's cheaper than other hybrid supercars, but that's not difficult. It shouldn't have been a "supercar" in the first place, but rather a MR driver's car.

If the Viper were discontinued for awhile only to come back with a twin turbo V6 auto-only and look nothing like it used to at all id have to throw my fucking monitor out the window but that's just because the car is a personal favorite of mine and always has been.
