I like the concept of the GMC Envoy XUT or whatever it was called. The roof and the tailgate glass could retract over your waterproof cargo area, and then you could fold up a midsection behind the rear seats to seal off the bed. So unlike the Avalanche this is an actual convertible SUV pickup truck, minus the side access. Only problem is the rest of the vehicle was crap and they never utilized the same solution on a full size model.
