How does /o/ feel about Cherry Bomb mufflers?
Been thinking of getting one on my Volvo S40 since the stock muffler makes it sound like a baby dying.

Great on a V8
Breddy good on a big 6
Shit on anything else. These are pretty much for American cars only.

is 3.3l a big v6
>>16015381
for you
It really doesn't do anything without a cat delete, unless you're changing from a super silent muffler.
>>16015381
No
4.0 and above nugguh
I put one on my ford 5.0 single exhaust and it sounds okay but there's mad drone when you've got cruise set on the highway. I don't know if I want to do a j-pipe to eliminate that or just get a better muffler, but the cherry bomb was $25 so it's sort of "fuck it."

what about an inline 6
Wut is a cherry bomb and wutdoes it do

"big" is talking about displacement you dip
>3.5L is the line
there is only so much a muffler can do to improve the sound of the engine.
like my car, its a shitty 1.9L 4banger, it sounds like one, even with muliple cherrybomb glasspacks mufflers, it still sounds like someone shitting in a empty barrel.
thinking about putting one on my 2.0 4-cyl
don't want to be total ricer fag and straight pipe it, i'll probably even leave the factory resonator near the cat so i don't get bad drone. i just want to have a little sound since i can barely hear the engine at all now

try a spintech can, you might be surprised.

they can cost you a lot of torque on some engines and may actually decrease exhaust flow from OE.
they drone like mad on a lot of rigs and sound like ass if you dont have a naturally good sounding engine
Is that an S40 with a 2.5t?
If you're poor, just do a cutout.
If you have the money, buy a turbo back from elevate.
How about muh 2001 auto Subaru Forester with the 2.5 SOHC?
Will it sound like shit?
Genuinly considering this.
I can put a yoshimura pipe on a Yamaha 750cc genesis 5 valve engine and it sounds godly (did it).
I can put a yoshimura pipe on a Kawasaki ex500 twin and it still sounds like a lawnmower (did that too).
Exhaust components still need something to work with.

>spintech
$85-100 isn't bad but that's like the finished and installed price of a glass pack
