Climate control. I can make it as hot or as cold as I want, and if I want it 60F in there in August, it does't take hours to get there like the house.

Well I live in Colorado, so a spirited drive through the mountains, especially now with the leaves changing. I'll usually see someone else with the same idea in mind and we'll hang together blasting thru back country. That's when the radio is turned off.

I like the comforting loneliness and being in control of the car. Whether I'm trying to drive on some back roads or just cruising down the interstate, I don't have any worries or anxieties or fears or other people. I just put on some music and relax. I'm alone where I feel the most comfortable, even if it is a shitbox. Plus its one of the only things I have control over in my life.

The feeling when I'm speeding around a curve just as the car starts to slide, and then accelerating out of it.

If I do it with passengers they usually start freaking out as it slides. The don't realize that's the best part.

Not having to ride public transportation

The risk. Knowing that I could easily end my life at any moment makes me realize that I don't want to. The adrenaline rush from going fast or taking corners at high speed is to die for though.

freshly repaved and buttery fucking smooth, one of my favorite toegays in the area

just fucking incredible tight banked corners and hairpins along the side of a cliff surrounded by forest

the downhill in a miata at sunset, on a reasonable dose of 4-HO-MET was easily one of the best times of my life

Being able to go anywhere I want without depending on other people and their timelines and plans. I never carpool because I want to be able to fuck off if I want. Public transportation is the worst, I'd rather ride a fucking bicycle. I run my schedule.
