I /o/, please help me out with this dilemma.
I´ve been thinking for a while about changing my:
- Mazda 2, year 2011, Manual transmition, 40.000km.
For a
- Mazda 6, around year 2005, Automatic transmition, 100.000 to 150.000km (pic related).
Why?
- Because i have issues on my left knee so an Automatic would be a big relief.
- I´d like to (and need to) get a cash income with this, as the Mazda 6 would be around 2.000USD cheaper.
- For some reason I just want to change my car, i think i got bored and i don´t like it anymore.
I´m not a car guy, don´t really know much about them and my biggest concern is to get a car as reliable as my current one, because my mazda 2 has never had any issues and i don´t want to start having issues and spending time and money repairing the next car i get.
Do you think is risky? What should i look out for?
Or is it just a bad idea?
Any comments/ideas, are welcomed.
Thanks.

how much can you afford?
post you local craigslist or kijiji as the case may be.

I hope to sell the Mazda 2 around 8000USD, so maximum to spend should be 6.000, if not it doesn´t make sense the change for now.
Craiglist and kijiji are useless in my country :(

what country?

Chile.
This is an option within the price range: http://www.yapo.cl/region_metropolitana/autos/mazda_6_34536941.htm?
This one looks great, but at that price the change starts to lose sense:

Mazda 6 is a great car.
Just not in V6 or automatic.
My wife's M6 has rust issues, but that's it. It's also impossibly spaceous inside with the back seats down. You can haul shit you wouldn't believe.
Last December I bought myself one of those as my first car.
>2005 Mazda 6 2.3
>Manual
>145000 km
>Minimal rust
>3000 CAD (~2200 USD)
Since then I've put another 16k kms on the car with only oil changes and one minor repair ($50 in parts and a weekend).
It's a nice comfy, decently reliable car.

>buying your wife a hundred thousand dollar car
Why?
>>16010077
>Assuming his wife didn't buy her own damn car
Also based on this thread, I'm assuming he meant a Mazda 6, not a BMW M6..

Thanks, it is good to know.

I love how faggots specifically add non rust issue on their mazda shitbox as if their anecdotal statements are any good
mazda sucks, get over it
