How hard do people work in auto plants?

At Ferrari, they have the most leisurely job imaginable.
At max output plants, you'll be as stressed as in any other job.

I work at Ford Motor Company.
I was stressing everyday, my hands were getting destroyed on a wire harness, heater hose, and air conditioning hose job.
Supervisors wouldn't bring in gloves, I wageslaved a week until they finally did.

Then I had the opportunity to get an easier job, but a higher seniority guy wanted it.
I told him I'd pay $500 straight up to have the job, and he take over the wire job. Since he was better at it anyway, and brought a huge stereo in. Since the wire job is away from most of the line population.

3 years later I'm still on the same job, and he's still on his.
We work hard, but it's not hard enough to not give us time to order a pizza. Have the team lead or awol cover us while we go get it.
Go to the bathroom and shit.

It's better than when I worked at Adecco/Ebay or UPS by a long shot, but it's still stressful and I'm tried every single day on wanting to kill myself or not. Then I remember the russians are probably going to do it or some filthy nigger, so I keep pressing on with buying nice cars. Keeping the house, bills, and credit card paid off. While still affording my bomb shelter, buying guns, and 4chan passes.

It depends on what's being built. Before the Camaro came to the Lansing Grand River plant, they were running all of 70 Caddys a shift. Across town at Lansing Delta Twp, that plant was running 360 suv things a shift.
