Technically when you purchased the car you *should* have done a transfer of rego into your name within 14 days, but i'm guessing you haven't for whatever reason, also, even if *you* haven't done the transfer, the previous owner might have lodged his part of the form which would have your details on it, and would now be in Vic Roads system.

Really it's going to depend on how you got the car.

First thing they'll do if they see a car without plates is run the make/model against stolen cars, second thing they'll do is run it against the unregistered list and if they get any hits nearby, they'll pop round.

nah man, previous owner had the car on club rego which cannot be transferred. That means when I bought the car I was technically buying an unregistered car. Now in victoria there are no titles of ownership for cars like that so you dont transfer the registration and you dont even tell anyone that the car has been sold. All you have to do is get a receipt from the previous owner saying you did in fact buy the car from him in case he tries to say you stole it from him. There is no record of me buying the car at all

Driving through Tacoma Washington, long stretch where the army base is. Cruising about 80 in the left lane because no traffic. Suddenly see suv parked on the side with the cop out the side with his radar gun. Make eye contact and he gets in his suv. I'm on my motorcycle so I gun it and cut through traffic and out of sight.

There's tons of exits on this stretch so I fly past two and take the third which happens to be a base only access. Show them my mil I'D and proceed on base. Right as I drive through I hear sirens fly past on the highway.

Ended up visiting a buddy stationed there and went to a party in base housing. Ended the night by hooking up with a mediocre army chick because I called her out on her dick sucking abilities. Plan worked, and the sex was good.

My buddy has since transferred but the girl is still there, I always stop by for a conjugal visit if I have time
