Most people here fawn over '90s Japanese sports cars while hating on the V6 Mustang. The Mustang was cheaper new than a clean MKIV is used, let alone being 10k+ cheaper than the Supra was in the early '90s. Performance is within spitting distance of each other, and both have pretty high potential if you want to mod them. So I don't see why anyone would hate either really other than muh rice tax.
