The common problems are well documented with these cars. Mainly related to Nissan still plugging that stupid truck motor into fucking everything.

With lux brands, you buy the service history, not the "deal" that you are getting. An 09 is usually a two owner car where the first kept up on maint, and the second just took it to jiffy lube every 10k miles. If you have partial records even that this wasn't owned by a woman or a basketball american, it's probably going to be a solid car.

I was cross shopping between certified pre owned G37's and S4's last year. Prices are just right, however the uncertainty of maintenance record and the inevitability of having repairs steered me away.

I ended up in a new BMW instead.

My dad has an AWD G35x and it's a really nice car. It has like 209,000 and runs really good still. I will say they're a pain in the ass to work on though.

Damn good cars. You don't need the AWD, skip it and get a 6MT sport package. I daily a IPL G coupe all year in Canada with just snow tires and a brain, you'll be fine. Post '11 is your friend, the refresh changed much more than just the exterior and is worth the small difference in price used. I average 11L/100km and I have a pretty heavy foot and go hooning often.
