Hotwheels, Matchbox or Micro Machines?
Hot wheels always had those stupid fantasy cars which I never liked
Micro machines are carpet landmines
So Matchbox
Micro machines all the way bitch. I grew up with them and need em back so bad.
matchbox is for the poor
>>15966184
I had my fair amount of Micro Machines. Convinced my parents to buy me one of the city sets once. Now I don't even remember what happened to them...
All I have now are to Match Box cars: One BMW M1 that I bought at a flee market in Bavaria for 1 euro, and one BMW M3 that I found at a toy store about six years ago.
>>15966184
I had that exact thing.
>>15966272
Matchbox is cheap plastic.
At least some hot wheels have cheap metal in them.

Zip-Zaps were my shit. I used to race my brother in our version of oval track racing, we would put our cars in the empty bathtub and floor it in circles until one of us would fly out of the tub. Good times.
>>15966988
Some kid had a Bigfoot down the block and his sister had the-equivalent. Really slow.
He's dead now.
well shit I still have it
its less than a foot wide
appears to be 1 wheel drive aside from missing the push-rods and bell cranks
and there are connections for light bulbs in the front
4D batteries, an assload of noise and you're Hot Wheels are smashing into each other mid air.
This was a cool track.

For some reason that hotwheels volcano set always reminds me of the stunt track driver PC game. I remember putting like 20 of them in a row in the level editor and playing it over and over again. Young brains are weird. That game was the best, though.
>>15967506
That was an awesome game. Played this shit out of that and crash when I was young.
>>15966892
>>15967506
The sequel was great. The giant backyard freedrive area had it so if you left the track you could just cruise around instead of being treated as having crashed like in the first game.
That night time disco final level of the first game in that gold thing was baller though.

Bruh you just reminded me of the time where i took all 128 cars in my hotwheels collection and made a "tournament" to see what car would be the last one standing on that.
IIRC the final four were an R34 skyline, the deora, a fantasy LMP thing, and a BMW M3 GTR, with the skyline winning

Of those 3, Hot Wheels is the correct choice for Le Supreme Gentleman.
Lego a best.

>used to tow my Radio Flyer wagon behind it
>one day cruising down the sidewalk and old man neighbor come flying in reverse down his driveway

I just recently realized that it was such a big deal with my parents not because my wagon got rekt, but because I was a couple feet away from becoming roadkill.
I remember that Power Wheels taking two giant rechargeable batteries and only getting half an hour out of the things. I imagine they are much better these days.

>>15966966
Looking back I was pretty in to MM as a kid, always had friends round playing with them, no one stole even one as they knew how serious I was. Some of the sets I had were:
Snake skull mini base
Exploding dam with water
B2 foldout base
3 tiered foldout base
3 tiered crawler base
Army van city
Missile launcher tower base thing with spotlight
ICBM base
Wolf ridge
Army foldout tank
Enough military vehicles and troops to make different armies, and my fleet of scud launchers
Van city
Truck city
Stunt truck city
Foldout audi tt playset
That dock playset
That airport set
That fire station foldout set
City foldout set that had a farm on top
Nascar track
Car factory foldout set
And so many civilian vehicles and planes and people it was unreal.
Thing was in addition to getting them as gifts, I busted my ass doing chores to obtain dosh in my sole mission to attain more sets
I had a hummer that turned into a race track for micro machines shit was cash as a kid.

>>15970159
also known as matchbox # yy18
with the others being #y16 and #y1
>>15966184
Matchbox is awesome, although I always had Hot Wheels as a kid because i didn't know better.
I had a big box of slot car stuff. Good fun, but the cars didn't last long.
>>15966184
Most of my model car collection now is 1:64 and predominantly HW. I once bought an MB of the Cadillac Sixteen concept, but it was severely underwhelming. Then I bought the HW of the same car and the difference in quality was was quite noticeable. Also have a few Johnny Lightning cars because some because there was no HW version. They're pretty good and in some ways better than HW. Also have a few prmotional products sold directly by the IRL automobile company, but no idea who manufactured them besides knowing that they were made somewhere in China. Those ones are my best 1:64 cars.
I haven't had any MM since I was a kid. All i remember is that because of their small size, they had the grandest and best playsets and had a lot of licenses to produce stuff from movies and TV shows.
>>15966988
>tfw my dad got me the Batmobile and a Batman costume
if you had this right here, you were awesome. I got one for my birthday one year and like 20 Micro Machines.
>>15969890
This anon knows what's up. I still have my Honda Trail 50. Now I just have to have kids so they can ride it.
I had the micro machines hummer fold out playset thing. I forgot all about that until now. Fuck I loved that thing
>>15966642
I have a pile of old matchbox Cars that are solid metal top and bottom. The newer stuff is just shit
>>15966809

>>15973673
Mine is probably in a shed rusting away from my home country. but if I get a qtπ daughter I'll buy her a 50cc race bike and train her for MotoGP
Matchbox because they were actual car models and not glorified Happy Meal toys.
Siku has always had the best model quality and the most autismal selection. Now I know why I play simulators as an adult.
Stand back, autism incoming
