I'm in an automotive tech program and the girls in my class actually have a pretty good grasp of automotive concepts. They study harder than a lot of their male counterparts. One girl is from Alaska and is training to be a diesel mechanic on crabbing/fishing boats, she's already been on a number of crabbing trips in the Bering Sea.

I once lived in a house with a couple. All three of us were seniors in mechanical engineering, so we all liked cars, but the chick had no car because lolnoparents. The guy had an LS1 automatic catfish Camaro with fake SS badges, headers, and a catback. I had an STi with a header-back tuned for 93/94 pushing +19 psi.

We were coming back from a frat house once and happened to get a red light together. I beat him by about 2 car lengths (not much IMO) and shut down at 110-120 mph.

She kept making me drive her places everywhere after that, she loved the surge that boost provides. It was an awkward situation.

Also, once at a street race meetup point I met a chick in her 20's who swapped a VR6 into a 2nd gen Golf in her driveway (probably w/ help though). She took me for a ride in it and it was pretty cool. We got back to the spot and her boyfriend was there.... Awkward as fuck.
