What the actual fuck is the point of owning an insight if you can't get the listed EMPEEGEES even after driving like a fucking pussy?
You already sacrifice the entire driving experience by getting a hybrid in exchange for saving your jew gold on guzzoline. lt's fucking worthless, prove me wrong.

You're better off getting a geo metro for $1000 and praying to kek that nobody plows into you because lolairbags
>>15953706
What's the actual MPG when you do the math though?
My dad got an insight, I drove it and had the urge to drive it straight into a fucking wall. Only if it would even get enough acceleration only then maybe I could drive it into a fucking wall.

48-50 mpg in my 89 geo
no pussy driving here or I'd probably get more

kill yourself.
Get a ScanGauge e, Scangauge II, or Ultragauge and plug it into the OBD-II port.
because your driving technique is inefficient enough to achieve the MPG that the vehicle is capable of
i told you i'd kill you in your sleep for your insight

Oh, it's you. Hey bud, what's stopping you from getting one? They're ridiculously cheap right now, esoecially at the kind of mileage this car's at.

That mpg is pretty good, the only problem with it is the IMA batteries tend to go out at around 180k miles.
If I had money I would get the Accord Hybrid.
>>15953706
kek, I get that kind of gas mileage in my '94 civic vx hatch doing 75-80 on the highway with miles of stop and go traffic mix in and letting it rev into VTEC YO zone to keep up with traffic.
>hybrids
kek

>tfw 32 highway mpgs in a pigfat v6 sedan
i have a plug in hybrid and am getting 30 mpgees at the moment.
..without charging it.
all electric range is from energy recoup and engine charge.
im hoping once the charging situation is sorted i should get 40 mpg or above..
maybe way above.
>he fell for the hybrid meme

That's shit mpg for a hybrid.
I just bought a 2000 Honda Insight 5MT with AC for $1,850. It's slow as hell, I can't pass anyone, the gears are tall as hell, and my average driving rpm is 1,750.
But oh man... I've been been driving it for awhile and that fuel gauge has barely moved. It's like a game, trying to keep the battery charged while also keeping your mpg meter high.
I have a stage 2 mazdaspeed3 for fun and hauling shit. This thing is just for commuting. Great little car even if it's a turd.
I get better gas milage in my pig fat rolla
>>15953706
I get better MPG than that in my 20 year old diesel.
and it'll probably still be going in another 20 years, unlike the batteries in your POS hybrid.

The MS3 is good at hauling? I have a gen 1 with a few bolt ons, but can it really tow a small trailer? Like for a dirt bike?
>>15958069
Yes, most compacts are rated to tow 1000lbs.
>>15958069
Lol. No. People hauling, stuff hauling. I wouldn't try to tow with our cars. You can get away with fully loaded bike racks, and might get away with towing a very small trailer, but nothing more than that.
I have a 2010 insight. It is that grey one on the /hg/ honda general image.
I get mid 40s mpg pretty much all the time. unless I get a lot of highway driving in. then a steady cruise of 65mph will get me into the 50s. If I can cruise at 55mph with out stopping much or hills. I can get into the 60mpg territory.
hills and going faster than 65 mph really kills the economy, because of the weak engine, weak assist motor, and cvt tranny.
I only with with the insight because I couldn't find a Prius that was as young and low miles, for the price point I wanted to pay. Prius is faster, bigger, can roll around on electric only at low speeds, nicer interior, toyota quality, and gets better mpg.

I bought a CRZ because I wanted the manual tranny.
I get 36-42mpg in town on my commutes where my other cars get 13-15. No idea on highway because the seats kinda suck after more than an hour and a half or so.
I wish that the IMA ecu was fully hackable like on the Gen1 insight, as there are many neat tricks one can do on those. It'd also be nice to be able to get the actual rated HP out of the electric assist motor instead of having it hard-capped at about 50% output.
For 19k brand new otd, I'm happy with it as my beater. I had 2 VW tdis prior, and neither did better than low 30's in town, and the newer 2.0 was even worse. And the panoramic sunroof leaked.
