For a track car, I like an alcantara wheel with cloth fireproof sparco driving gloves. No slip when you get sweaty. But for the road I like a leather wheel with bare hands. More feel kinda like sex without a jimmy hat

Do you drive a car without power steering?

My hands perspire, so I sometimes put on very thin light bicycle gloves. That keeps my hands from feeling sticky on the steering wheel. Yes, I clean the wheel and wash my hands before I start driving. I just cannot stop the perspiration.
So the gloves make driving more comfortable for me. My windows are tinted, so no one sees me with the gloves. I don't think of wearing gloves as bragging or being a poseur. It's practical in my case.

yeah I agree, I have a non-power steering jeep. Really laying into it parking in the sun with no lid will give you dirty hands. Don't think getting something less grippy-rubbery would be a safe idea though.
BUUUUT open air big jeep gets you a few looks in stop lights, and no way I'm going to be caught wearing racing gloves. Its bad enough wearing dumb hats and sunglasses listening to music, my autism couldn't handle that.

Take the following questionnaire :
>1 : do you have power steering?
if "no" then proceed
>2 : are you driving a convertible?
if "yes" then proceed
>(2.5 : is does your convertible have a small/low windscreen?)
if "yes" then proceed
>congrats, you have reasons to wear gloves while driving
They're only not complete cringe if you drive a luxury sports car with a wooden wheel
