Not the guy you were responding to, but that is the problem in my city. 130k people and it's basically split into the east side, the 'bad' side where all the low life villains live, and the west side, the 'good' side where all the nice townhomes filled with rich old white people and $500k+ homes with huge lawns (that's an expensive house in the midwest).

Even the criminals don't shit where they eat. They come from the east side to steal and vandalize on the west side. In the past two weeks there have been two burglaries where every car parked outside on the whole block was broken into and several of the garage door openers were used to access the homes. One was even a police officer who was asleep in bed and they took his tv and guns without waking him. This is occurring within half a mile of my home and I'll be damned if I'm going to be without a gun in my vehicle. My favorite grocery store in the area, HyVee, had an armed carjacking in their parking lot which led to a high speed chase that circled my neighborhood. The guy crashed the car and jacked another one before getting barricaded on a bridge by the cops and shot to death.
