A few days ago the brakes on my TT have started squealing when braking at slow speed.
At first only with the steering wheel turned, but now they do it pretty much always. I can brake HARD and they are almost completely silent, but at slow speed (such as when the car is about to stop) they get so noisy it's ridiculous.
What's that? Brake pads are gone?

I read that when brakes start to squeal you can try to "clean" them by braking hard. Well, it didn't really work, but when braking hard they don't squeal...

Chances are your pads have left uneven deposits on the rotor.
Assuming you still have good amounts pad left do this:
65/70->15mph brake hard 5x, immediately speed up brake
after last time go around 65mph for about 30-40min and avoid using the brakes (don't be stupid though stop if you need to stop and such) to let them cool.
Should even out the deposits. Only a temp fix though.

Actually. If your car is making squeezing noises, that isn't right. Can be a bunch of issues. But staying "it's working fine" is literally fucking downs.

I didn't find it until it kept squeaking just making left turns, it ate a nice thin line in my rotor.
