Parts are expensive and the electronics in them, while reliable so far, may start fucking up soon which will always be a worry with modern cars.

Go for it, if you can find one with some proper high miles. Leave yourself some spare money and get a car that's been maintained properly and driven on highways? Always the better option.

They're genuinely great, so I'd say go for it. HOWEVER, your experience will depend largely on the service/parts availability in your local area. And expect parts to run a good 25-30% more expensive than their Japanese rivals, unless you're UK-based and/or have decent relationships with your dealer.

Personally, I think an awful lot of the post-2010 Jag range are great used deals.

older than that may get hairy, it really depends. jags historically have rust problems and electric niggles. honestly tho if you keep 1000-1500$ aside for restoration after you buy it you should be good.

what year exactly are you looking at? i know a lot about jags before they redesigned the way they all looked. still know a fair bit about the new ones.

still get the warranty tho because if something serious breaks youre in for a world of hurt. i had to replace the heads on my 4.2 liter because the gas stations around here carry shitty gas and it ate through the aluminum heads. had to replace them with cast iron aftermarket. 3,000$ job
