Never had that problem. Besides, 245 isn't that fast.
But then, I'm on the Autobahn so much, it's easy to predict who pulls out and who doesn't.
I'm regularly in the speed limiter for long stretches.

Like anon said, over time you see who may pull out and you prepare to brake if you need. When going 255 engine is really pushing therefore just stepping off the accelerator will slow down car immediately. Worst thing that can happen is someone tailgating so you can't stomp on brakes, but that why when you see car behind you, you get the he'll out of passing lane.

Driving at limit isn't economical BTW. If it's longer trip I recon that time saved while driving fast wouldn't be enough to make a necessary stop at the pump.

Well, nowhere else, except for closed tracks, this speed is normal. Of course it'll feel much faster than it actually is on roads where you usually don't achieve that speed.
Hell, on regular back roads, 150 can be mind bending.

But just because the majority of cars top out at 200, does not make 245 "stressful" (which was the point I'm getting at, not dismissing it as slow) fast .
The general inability to pay attention to their surroundings is the only reason for the average driver to assume it's something extraordinary. It's nothing special once you do it a time or two.
Past 270 is where it gets interesting. Might sound like a small increase, but it's significant.

A couple of years ago I read in the newspaper they were raising the highway speed limit by 10 km/h.

They forgot to mention it was only in select areas and in many more areas they instead lowered it by 20 km/h.

Not tailgating per se, but rather driving on insufficient distance. If there is nobody behind you and you hit brakes at 255 youll go to 150 in no time and chances are that guy pulling in your lane is going around that or faster.
