Hey, guys, I'm taking the trip over from /k/. Anyway, I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado that I leveled and I want to put a larger and more aggressive off roading tire on for hunting season. It's a lot of soft ground and a little mud where I hunt. Is this an ok tire? What do y'all recommend?
Thanks
Why do /k/ posters always announce their special club affiliation? I've never seen anyone proclaim their "home board" irrelevantly except when it's /k/

You dun goofed. Should've got a nice Ranger or Tacoma or Frontier for >10k

In reality it's not going to get all beat up going through the trails to the stands. If I know I'm going to be in a densely wooded or rocky area I'd bring my four wheeler.

>damn near bought them on the spot

I run Goodyear Duratracs, but only because it's snows a lot where I live.
I also ran a set of Hankook Dynapro M/Ts. Good tires for the mud. Super smooth and quiet on road. No good in winter weather though, but if you don't deal with any of that, I'd advise checking them out.
Thanks guys. Any opinions on the Falken Wild Peak mt?

I've been running BFG Mud Terrain KM2's on my wrangler for about 90k miles. Had a set of 33x10.5R15's on it for 60k miles and sold them with ~30% tread left, replaced with a set of 35x12.50R15's. The tread life is excellent for an off road tire and there is very little road noise from them compared to most large, aggressive tires. The only places I'd say they're lacking are on hard-packed ice/snow since there's no siping, they slide very easily, and in really sticky clay-like mud where the tread has trouble clearing. Though I suppose most tires probably have that problem in clay.

I've had them for 2 years I've liked them. They are really good in the mud I can be in 2wd and get though some decent stuff and they are super quiet on the road
I have toyo open country AT2s
They work.

No. Goodyear or Michelin or bfg. Nothing else.

Any reason why?

They're just the best brands.

This mindset is stupid. All trucks were new once. Some stay pristine and see no offroading or heavy work use at all. Some start right at that shit. It's a truck, so it makes sense to do truck stuff with it. The decision for used vs new doesn't change when you go from buying cars to buying trucks. The same benefits and drawbacks exist.
